The entire world is pretty much stressing out right now seeing how the world is facing a global pandemic that has left us all quarantined at home with our severe anxiety and fears. Usually, when we are stressed, the best place to go to relax and melt away some of that stress is, of course, the spa. However, since we’re under strict quarantine, the spa, like a lot of our favorite spots, is no longer an option.
But don’t despair, we’ll show how you can bring the spa to you in 7 easy steps so you can relax and pamper your stressed-out self without breaking your quarantine.
1. Block out the outside world
You may not notice that but one the best things about a spa is the isolation, that for only a couple of hours, you are completely isolated from all stress sources and worries of your everyday life.
So for your DIY spa, make sure you achieve the same level of isolation by turning off your phone, internet, and cutting off any connection to the outside world to enjoy some 100% me time.
2. Give your bathroom a spa makeover
When you go to the spa, the relaxation process starts right at the door thanks to the open and inviting nature of its space. So if you want to have a spa at home, you have to start by changing up your bathroom to gove out the same feeling.
Natural elements will get the job done. Decorate your bathroom with some greenery to give it a calming relaxing ambiance. Spread out some plants and floral arrangements around your bathroom corners and shelves. This will not only alter the look of your bathroom, but it will also alter the scent of the space giving it a spa-like refreshing aroma.
3. Get into your comfiest robe and slippers
One of the exclusive perks of going to the spa right at home is the fact that you don’t have to dress up. So slip out of your everyday clothes and start relaxing your body by putting on a comfy soft rope and some fun-looking slippers to complete the ‘spa-at-home’ comfy look.

It is a well-known proven fact that applying a hot wet towel on your face helps reduce the stress. Also, it is a lot more efficient when giving yourself a facial that having to run back and forth to the sink to wash your face.
So when you are getting ready for your spa day at home, load up on sooft cotton towels, soak them in hot water, then wring them out till they’re slightly damp. For an extra relaxing effect, add a few drops of the essential oil of your choice to the hot water before you soak in the towels. This way when you apply the hot towels on your face, you’ll get to rejuvenate your senses as you breathe in the refreshing therapeutic aroma of the oil while you relax with a hot towel on your face. Try this and you might even forget for a second that you’re at home.
